Gay exorcism should be considered child abuse.

Outrage isn’t enough.  This week a video show what appears to be a gay exorcism at a church in Connecticutt showed up online after the Church posted it on their YouTube account.  What’s unbelievable about this story isn’t that it’s outrageous.  That should be a given.  The really unbelievable part is that this isn’t considered child abuse by anyone.  Why aren’t these “pastors” being prosecuted, or at the very least, their church and their activities shut down?  It’s one thing for an adult to willingly choose to participate in such ridiculous acts.  It’s another, though, for a 16-year old boy to be put place in such a situation.  Just because you say Christ is involved doesn’t automatically ordain it as legal, moral, or anything near it.  But, apparently illegal and immoral acts are okay if it’s to a minority group.

The boy is shown vomiting in the video, after convulsing violently on the floor.  What’s the difference America between a Catholic priest who molests a child imparting lasting psychological damage and this priest who is clearly imparting similarly lasting psychological trauma?   Nothing.  It’s time we stand up and say that not everything goes just because we say Christ.

Here’s the video via [the LA Times], check it out and decide for yourself.
